About
Welcome to Late Night Thai, the culinary gem nestled at 1624 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I'm excited to spotlight this late-night haven for Thai cuisine and sushi lovers alike. With a reputation for serving fresh, delicious meals at hours when most kitchens have shut down, Late Night Thai is quickly making a name for itself among local food enthusiasts.
The menu offers a compelling variety of options, from hearty noodle soups to mouthwatering sushi sets. The Salmon Don served over sushi rice, adorned with fresh Japanese vegetables, is a standout dish at just $27.00. For sushi aficionados, the Sushi Plate, featuring a selection of six pieces of chef's choice nigiri alongside California maki, is a delightful experience priced at $29.00. There’s something undeniably vibrant about the freshness of the seafood that elevates the dining experience.
For those seeking comfort, the noodle soups deserve a moment in the limelight. The Tom Yum, with its spicy and sour notes enriched by mushroom and lemongrass, warms the soul for only $14.00. Meanwhile, the Wonton Soup, brimming with chicken dumplings and colorful veggies, is perfect for those late-night cravings.
One cannot overlook the stir-fried options either. The Pad Thai Udon Noodle—a delightful mix of udon noodles and bean sprouts—is a customer favorite at $15.50. Each dish is crafted with care, offering generous portions loaded with protein, eggs, and fresh vegetables, ensuring every bite is satisfying.
What sets Late Night Thai apart is not just the variety but the quality. Customers have expressed surprise at the low ratings, often defending the freshness and hot flavors that consistently impress even the pickiest eaters. As one delighted diner noted, “the consistency is unmatched,” which speaks to the kitchen's dedication to excellence.
No late-night adventure would be complete without something sweet, and the boba drinks have garnered particular praise. Customers rave about the Thai tea boba, which delivers a refreshing experience that keeps diners coming back for more, echoing sentiments like a slight addiction to the drink’s perfection.
So, whether you're diving into a rich bowl of Pad See Ew or savoring a slice of fresh sushi, Late Night Thai promises a culinary experience that transcends the average late-night fare. This spot is not just for those in search of sustenance at odd hours but for anyone who appreciates quality Thai and sushi cuisine.
In conclusion, if you're in the Chicago area and find yourself with a hankering for a late-night bite, I encourage you to give Late Night Thai a try. With every dish crafted to satisfy, you won’t leave disappointed.
“ We ordered late night takeout there was a good variety of options. I really enjoyed the vegetarian sampler. ”
“ Genuinely surprised by low ratings. Truthfully I feel like people should adjust their expectations. You're getting fresh hot Thai and sushi at virtually unheard of hours. It's always good. Is it the BEST thing I've ever eaten? No. But is the pad see ew pretty/really damn good and generous with the protein/egg/veg? Yes. I personally can't recommend the sushi but I'm really picky with sushi. Come on people lol I love this place and I don't care who knows it ”
“ One ‘late’ night, my family and I were craving boba and decided to take a chance with them through ubereats. We had almost no expectations—most spots were closed, and late-night delivery is usually hit or miss. But, when the drinks arrived they blew our minds! The boba was incredibly fresh—perfectly chewy without being mushy or hard. The drink was the perfect temperature, and the tea was absolutely refreshing. Mind you, this was not a one time thing. I think I have a slight addiction to the thai tea boba from this place because I keep ordering it and it always hits! ”
“ Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. the crab Rangoon had a spice I didn’t expect, but good! ... ”
“ This has to be my favorite restaurant hands down. I've never ordered something that I don't like, and the consistency is unmatched. Every time I order something I know exactly how much of it there's going to be and how it's going to taste. Not to mention it's always fantastic. Whether you're picking up or delivering they make your food super fast. It's just so good ”
“ I've regularly ordered online from Late Night Thai and can confirm that this place is a hidden gem - don't listen to the negative reviews! Although to be fair I cannot speak to the customer service as I have not listened in person. The fact that a Thai and sushi spot is open and odd hours into the night, AND consistently serves delicious food is unheard of. They may not have the fanciest options or the largest variety of choices, but this place will definitely satisfy Thai / sushi cravings! We will definitely continue to order from Late Night Thai in the future. ”
“ It’s been almost 2 years that I have been going here pretty regularly. This spot is hits every time I need it. The first time I ordered through Grubhub and it was really good, still pretty warm and it was 2am. PERFECT. I went to their website and saw they asked to order through them instead of 3rd party. No problem love to support a business especially when it’s not out of my way. Everytime I go in to grab my order everyone is always polite and happy to see me. Never have had a problem, food portions are always packed to the top. Never dry, always nice and spicy. I love the curries and the noodles but I’m just not a rice person. On their website they have comment section which no mater what I have asked they do no questions. It’s sad to see people get bad orders, because this place can be great. Like I said, I’ve been going here almost 2 years and eat there ALOT and I have yet to have a bad noodle or curry. Probably will order more this week. ”
“ Hands down one of my absolute favorite Thai places in the city! Never once have i been disappointed, and everything is made and delivered in a timely manner ”
